The pendulum always swings back to the center. If there's been one big trend in cigars over the past few years, it's the tendency to go big -- to design something decidedly full-bodied, and then keep topping yourself with each successive edition. But leave it to the one and only Henrik Kelner to do just the opposite and go mild with his latest limited edition. By aging five different filler tobaccos for 12 years (including a Corojo), then wrapping them in a sun-drenched Ecuadorean leaf, he's managed to make the new Davidoff Limited Edition 2008-Reserva 12 hint at complexity, but it's ultimately a subtle blend (perhaps too subtle for its own good, in the words of one of our full-bodied-loving reviewers). Whatever your preference, though, the large size of the cigars and mild taste pretty much guarantee a contemplative smoke.
