Bull Speed Ahead

Lamborghini rolls out the smoking accoutrements.

Fall 2008 , Page 12

Cocooned in the buttery-soft leather of your Lamborghini MurciƩlago LP640 as it races around yet another curve at absurdly high speed, you may be gripped by a sudden realization: Trying to light your cigar with an ordinary lighter while traveling at 120 mph may not be the greatest idea ever.

For those looking to ignite a high-quality smoke without inadvertently ending up on Greatest Car Crashes Ever! Luxury Vehicle Edition -- or who just want to give their daily cigar break a hint of aerodynamic sleekness -- Lamborghini has introduced its new Tonino line of lighters and cutters.

Flame On
Emblazoned with the distinctive bull symbol and equipped with a trigger shaped like an automotive air vent, the Il Toro ($175) releases a patented jet flame angled perfectly for quick lighting at 150 mph. The Forza collection ($175) trades up the usual sharp metal ignition for a large rubber button (all the easier to grip), while the Estremo lighters ($150) encase their louvered ignition within a futuristic design deliberately reminiscent of a $150K roadster's smooth curves.

Snip!
For cutting, the company's Precisione cutter ($85) will neatly snip any stick with a ring gauge of 58 or less. Spring-loaded surgical-steel blades, scratch-resistant lacquer and the bull logo all help kick off your smoke with a touch of efficient elegance.
