My Yoga

I have to be honest...I really don't know much about the Stock Market. But, what I do know is what my dearest friends and customers who ARE involved in this business are telling me. And the theme seems to be the same from everyone: We are in it up to our waists...and it's going to get worse before it gets better. Well fine!

So I get it. We are in the midst of an economic crisis that affects each and every one of us around the world. It is what it is. It's devastating. It's frustrating. It conjures up anxiety, stress, uncertainty...you name it. And it also compounds itself into built up uneasiness and insecurity that potentially makes the thought of buying a cigar and enjoying it seem inappropriate or extravagant.

But I'd offer for your consideration that it is indeed these times of uncertainty and strain that a cigar is that much more important!

Cigars aren't meant to be smoked outside your office on the sidewalk aggressively so you can get back up to your desk. They’re not a 'fix' just to cure a nicotine craving. Cigars are meant to be enjoyed and savored… one should be seated and relaxed; perhaps quietly alone, or with a few friends. Cigars demand time and attention. They allow you to unwind, meditate, reflect, gather your thoughts, and be thankful for what you DO have. It's my yoga -- and allows me to recharge my batteries and renew an optimistic frame of mind. As our dear friend and master blender for Davidoff, Hendrik Kelner puts it, "A cigar is always your friend, a good friend...it never changes." Well, we've never needed a good friend more than we do now. So please...from one friend to another, take a moment when you can and enjoy a cigar!
